Marion’s Bio

As a Managing Partner in the firm, Marion is responsible for:

  • Overseeing investment research and management
  • Creating asset allocation models aligned with client goals
  • Meeting with clients to discuss their overall financial needs and goals
  • Developing and monitoring financial planning strategies
  • Delivering ongoing financial advice

Marion joined Freedman Financial in 2000, after many years of teaching Finance and Investments at Bentley College, Johnson & Wales University, and North Shore Community College. She is passionate about developing relationships with clients and helping them understand how to work towards their financial goals.

In her previous career, she was a pastry chef, pursuing a fascination she developed while living in France during her junior year in college.

Marion received a BA from Connecticut College, an MBA from Bentley College, and an MA in Economics from the University of New Hampshire. She is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM professional and maintains her Series 7, 24 and 63 securities registrations through LPL Financial and her 65 through Freedman Financial.

She has had a long-time involvement in the local community including as a volunteer in the Middleton Public Schools along with serving on the Board of Trustees and as treasurer for the Flint Public Library. She has also enjoyed being a presenter for the Women in Science and Engineering (W.I.S.E.) program and the nonprofit organization, Massachusetts Women in Public Higher Education, and a board member and treasurer of the Peabody Chamber of Commerce.

Residing in Middleton, MA, she is married to Richard and has one son. She and her family are avid travelers. They enjoy exploring other cultures and discovering new food and wine. She still never misses an opportunity to visit a pastry shop.
